I'm so glad you're here.
Hi! I'm Anna CPPC, CPT

Fitness has always been a huge part of my life and I am here to help you fall in love with the journey too. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to start working out, change your habits, or find what works for your goals. That’s what I’m here for! Whether we’re working together in person or online, I’m committed to making this a life changing experience for you.

In early 2019, I had a client who wanted to train during her pregnancy. Wanting to support her the right way, I began looking for a certified trainer to refer her too, someone with real expertise in prenatal fitness. But after countless conversations that led nowhere, I was shocked by how underserved this population is. Despite the fact that roughly 85% of women will have a child at some point, there were almost no qualified professionals I could turn to.

If you tear your ACL, you're in physical therapy for months. But after carrying a baby for 40 weeks and giving birth, you're often cleared to return to exercise at your 6-week checkup... with little to no guidance. Where do you start? Can you squat? What about core training? What if you have diastasis recti? So many questions that unfortunately many don’t know the answers too.

Women deserve better.

That experience lit a fire in me. I dedicated the following years to studying and earning my Certified Pre & Postnatal Coach (CPPC) credential, along with additional education and hands-on experience, so I could be that trusted resource. Today, I’m here to help you prepare your body for pregnancy, stay strong and safe throughout it, and navigate the postpartum journey with confidence and care.

Every woman’s journey is different and I’m here to guide you through yours with compassion, knowledge, and a whole lot of support. You’re not alone in this journey. Read more below.

About me

Education

I have my BS in Fitness Development and Kinesiology from SUNY Cortland, where I graduated in the top 5% of my class. I have completed a 500 hour D3 Strength and Conditioning Internship as well as a 3 year Athletic Training Internship.

Certifications

I am a GGS Certified Pre & Postnatal Coach, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NETA Certified Group Exercise Instructor, and Certified TRX Coach. I am also certified in KILO Program Design, CPR/AED/ First Aid, Myofascial Release Foam Rolling, Prenatal Fitness through PROnatal, Exercise for Parkinson’s + MS through NETA, and Youth Fitness + Senior Fitness through NETA.

Where we started

When Covid hit and gyms shut down, I began offering group classes on Zoom. As demand grew, I set up a temporary gym in a tent in my backyard, thinking it would be a short term solution until gyms reopened. The response exceeded my expectations, eventually leading me to build a small studio. A few years later, I am now moving into my new location in Northport. Having grown up in Northport and graduated from Northport High School, it means so much to now run my dream business in my hometown.

Experience

Before starting Anna Marjanovic Fitness LLC in 2020, I worked as a Personal Trainer & Group Exercise Instructor at SUNY Cortland, Personal Trainer at Life Time Athletic, Garden City, Personal Trainer at Fit Athletics, Kings Park, and was a Bodybuilding.com Sponsored Athlete. In college I competed in Bodybuilding (Bikini).
